The forecast is for snow later today, and snow and rain tomorrow. Even though it won't amount to much, it is enough that everyone is talking about it. No one can believe that we are still shoveling. The old snow has frozen in these 16 degree temps to a hard layer of trecherous ice that covers most sidewalks. Everyone is anxious for spring, and the New England Flower Show in Boston is going to be packed with people who want a glimpse of color and greenery.
Yesterday I was thinking that we should have chucked all this for at least a week this winter and gone to Florida. Even Oklahoma was 67 and sunny yesterday. That kind of weather is what our bodies crave. Everyone is thinking of spring. George and I are discussion putting in a terraced rose garden in the backyard this year and are drawing designs on the backs of napkins when we go out to eat.
Have a great day and enjoy the weather, no matter what.
