World Hunger CD sales

We sold 25 CDs called "ENOUGH" by A Group of Guys, who are young Lutherans from the Northeast Synod who are concerned about World Hunger. They are very talented and musical and we sold the CD yesterday after church. We received $442.00 for World Hunger yesterday from our congregation. I have five more to sell next week. They are available by ordering through this website. Most of the people who attended the concert bought their CDs there, so I would imagine that we at Redeemer contributed at least $1000 to this effort. The concert was wonderful, the CD is terrific, and contains the kind of Christmas music you want to enjoy throughout the season. And, the best part is that this is not an act of "buying", but an act of "giving", since all the money goes to the ELCA World Hunger Relief program.

World Hunger seems like such a huge problem, that is hard to believe that we can, as individuals, do anything to help. But I believe we can. And this CD is going to raise $30,000 in 30 days, and $30,000 can help a lot of people.

I'm happy that the evening was such a success and that everyone enjoyed the meatloaf I brought, the delicious potluck dinner, the upbeat and inspirational concert, and their Christmas music CD to benefit World Hunger Relief.

On to planning for Saturday's Christmas party at our house.
