I was reminded tonight of an artist whose work I really love: Dale Chihuly, an artist of glass blowing. In a museum somewhere, and now I can't remember where, I walked through a hall with the ceiling entirely covered with glass. It was a magical experience. The use of color and glass and shape is just out of this world. Can I use the expression, blown away? I am completely in awe of his work. Whether in a casino or a cathedral, the depth and color of his installations are vibrant and fantastic. His book, Chihuly, is now on my Christmas list.
