The great lasagna cook-off

We started cooking up the meat sauce at 8:45 a.m. and finished three lasagnas by 10:15. George and I worked together assembling the ingredients: meat sauce with sausage, fennel and ground beef; ricotta with fine herbs and eggs; cooked lasagna noodles; mozarella cheese topping. It is not hard. And we think it is fun. Now I have time to do other things befor the lasagna goes in at 2 p.m. Other things include watching George bake cookies and folding laundry.

A lovely saturday here. Our friend Chuckie, the woodchuck, poked his head out from his home under the garage. He's surveying the menu of the flowers and vegetables he will eat this summer. Yeesh.
